With over 1000 entries from 66 countries, SunStyle’s product managed to capture the attention of both the expert judges and the public.

The Archello Awards, known for recognizing innovative architectural projects, interior architecture, design and sustainability, have published the list of winners. The expert panel of judges has carefully selected one outstanding project or product in each of the 27 categories. At the same time, the public actively participated, casting votes and making their own selection of the most impressive projects and products.

SUNSTYLE EXPANDS ITS FIELD OF INFLUENCE: NEW PARTNER IN NORTH RHINE-WESTPHALIA, GERMANY

Bielefeld, NRW – SunStyle, is proud to announce that Sebastian Rose, an experienced project manager, has now been officially recruited as a SunStyle Partner for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Sebastian Rose brings with him impressive expertise in real estate development and renewable energy, and shares a particular affinity for high-end properties.

ABU DHABI SUSTAINABILITY WEEK 2023 WAS A PERFECT MATCH FOR SUNSTYLE.

SunStyle is proud to announce its participation at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2023 in the SWISS PAVILLION. This year, the event took place from January 16-18 and aimed to raise awareness about sustainable development and clean energy. ADSW also hosted the World Future Energy Summit, the region’s leading B2B platform for sustainability.
We were able to showcase our solar tiles for a better, sustainable future. We are convinced that our product is the right way to combine aesthetics and green energy, both for commercial and residential buildings. We were pleased with the positive response and the great interest in our products and solutions.

NOMINATION FOR THE ARCHITECTURE AWARD “BUILDING-INTEGRATED SOLAR TECHNOLOGY 2022”

The “Architecture Award for Building-Integrated Solar Technology in Bavaria” is being presented for the 9th time. The aim of the competition is to promote the architectural and technical embedding of integrated solar systems (in the roof and/or facade). The competition evaluates how solar systems in the roof and/or on the facade have been integrated into the project and how these elements are used to encourage sustainable energy.
Together with the renowned architects Behnisch, SunStyle is taking part in the competition with the project “New upper school building of the free Waldorf School Uhlandshöhe”. The results are expected by the end of November. The Behnisch architectural office and SunStyle are curious to see how the submitted project will be judged.

SUNSTYLE PRESENTED AT THE EXPO ALL-ENERGY AUSTRALIA IN MELBOURNE

SunStyle presented their products and sustainable energy solution at the Expo “All-Energy” in Melbourne. With our building integrated solar roof (BIPV), we were able to show visitors an alternative to existing solar panels. The customer feedback was overwhelming. The visitors were enthusiastic about the quality, the efficiency as well as the durability of our products. The solar tiles have already been used in Europe and the USA for over 15 years and have been supplying sustainable energy ever since. Architects appreciated the aesthetics of our solar roof. With the sleek and elegant shape, the solar tiles can be seamlessly integrated into any project. Property owners were particularly enthusiastic about the combination of roof and solar cells. SunStyle solar tiles replace traditional tiles, thus eliminating the need for traditional roofing.
SunStyle looks back to an interesting Expo in Melbourne and is looking forward to further events.

SunStyle was among a few select innovative Solar Impulse members chosen to present its BIPV solar roofing solutions at this Energy Transition special event on April 28, 2022 at the chamber of commerce Luxembourg. SUNSTYLE RECEIVES ADDITIONAL FRENCH CSTB CERTIFICATION

SunStyle has obtained its second Technical Opinion from the French CSTB (Scientific and Technical Center of the Building). The first Technical Opinion made it possible to install SunStyle solar tiles on a wood mounting system. With this second Technical Opinion, the SunStyle solar roof system can now be installed on a steel mounting system, broadening the ability to install SunStyle on different buildings.

FRENCH PRODUCTION PLANT OPENED

The French production plant of the SunStyle^® solar tiles was officially launched on October 15th 2020, in the presence of the French Minister of Ecological Transition Barbara Pompili. The Minister was able to discover the various facets of the manufacturing of “Made in France” solar tiles in Châtellerault, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. RENOVATION WITH SUNSTYLE TILES WINS SOLAR PRIZE

This former detached house dating from the 1960s was converted into two semi-detached residences and renovated to become energy efficient. Despite a higher number of consumers and a larger energy reference area, the building’s energy requirements were reduced by 61%. In addition, thanks to the PV installations installed on the south side of the roof by Ackermann AG, it was possible to build an EnergyPlus construction at a low cost. The project was awarded the HEV Special Solar Prize in 2019.

SUNSTYLE AT EXPO 2020 IN DUBAI

The French Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai will be fully decked out with SunStyle^® solar tiles. The solar building envelope, whose colors are inspired by Claude Monet’s Water Lilies, aims to trap the sunlight and channel its energy into the building in the form of a huge interactive light show. This project is made possible thanks to the color technology developed by SunStyle AG.

DUBAI 2020: THE FRENCH PAVILION IS LIGHTING UP THANKS TO SUNSTYLE®

SunStyle International is proud to have been selected along with Akuo Energy to install the solar building envelope for the French Pavilion.

THE BRUNNI CABLE CARS ARE CARBON NEUTRAL

The Restaurant Ristis mountain lodge has been completely covered in SunStyle^® solar tiles. More power is now being produced than the restaurant requires annually. By replacing oil heating with a wood pellet heating system and implementing further measures, which are supplemented by the myclimate climate protection initiative to compensate for unavoidable carbon emissions, the Brunni-Bahnen Engelberg AG became the first carbon-neutral cable car company in Switzerland in May 2018.

CHURCH UNITES TRADITION AND FUTURE

Sarpsborg, the third oldest town in Norway and today an industrial town, has a rich cultural heritage, which also includes the town church from 1862. At the beginning of 2019, the roof of the neo-Gothic church was renovated with SunStyle^® solar shingles. The church in the centre thus becomes a symbol of the interplay of tradition and future.

SUNSTYLE AT ALPINE HEIGHTS

Thanks to two completed renovations of hotel roofs at alpine heights, our SunStyle^® solar tiles can prove their durability under extreme weather conditions. They have been producing clean electricity on the Grimsel Pass and the Fiescheralp for over a year at an altitude of more than 2000 metres above sea level.

Celebrate with us! Thanks to our many happy customers, this year we will be celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the SunStyle solar roof. CLOSE TO HEAVEN

Even the Strand parish in southern Norway relies on solar power. The nave of the white, 19th century wooden church has been fitted with SunStyle^® solar panels on the roof. These resemble the structure of traditional Norwegian roof shingles.

ELECTRICITY FROM THE NURSERY SCHOOL

Solar energy for the youngest generation. With a colourful façade and efficient SunStyle^® solar roof, the two nursery school buildings developed by Bauzeit Architekten have something special for both the little ones and the Energy City Ipsach initiative. The 700 solar tiles with a total capacity of over 70 kWp generate approximately 65,000 kWh of solar energy annually.
